1st Sawtry Scout Group has been in the village in its present form since September 1967 . We have met in many places from the old youth club  , the village college gym , hall and class rooms ( all now part of the academy ) and now in the present community centre ( the old agricultural college ) since 1999.

The group has all sections from Beaver scouts to Scouts  and feed into a District Explorer Scout unit that meets in Huntingdon 

Beavers          6-8 yrs         5.45    -   7-00 pm    Wednesdays in the Parish Hall ( Old School Hall)

Cubs           8-10.5 yrs        6-30   -  8-00 pm    Wednesdays in the Community Centre

Scouts       10.5-14 yrs        7-30   -  9-00 pm    Wednesdays in the Community Centre
